Interoperable SATCOM – force multiplier for any type of deployment
We deliver proven satellite communication solutions and managed network services built to suit specific mission requirements, enabling live-motion video, still imagery, multi-spectral sensors and enroute communications.
The way military forces conduct their intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), missions has dramatically changed with the increase in worldwide threats and events, and real-time information sharing and timely delivery of information gathered in the field is critical to mission success.
Inmarsat Government is a long-time trusted partner of the ISR community, delivering proven satellite communication solutions that complement military satellite resources, securely, cost-effectively, anywhere in the world. With Inmarsat Government, military planners and users access the very latest in satellite communication technology and networks, in addition to the industry’s most experienced in-house experts in Information Assurance, engineering and technical support. These professionals build, deploy and manage solutions suited to specific mission requirements, enabling live-motion video, still imagery, multi-spectral sensors and enroute communications.
Our suite of services for ISR missions:
Global Xpress
Purposely designed for mobility, Inmarsat services bring continuous, consistent connectivity anywhere in the world – land, sea and air. The Global Xpress network takes advantage of a uniform worldwide seamless spot beam architecture for maximum mobility. When there are demand surges, Global Xpress directs its steerable beams for additional capacity. And when Global Xpress is complemented by Inmarsat L-band services in a hybrid format, users gain even greater resilience and frequency diversity. They benefit from end-to-end, always-on capability, delivered as a managed service – Global Xpress SATCOM as a Service – at a much more affordable cost and much faster rate than the current acquisition model allows.
SATCOM as a Service
SATCOM as a Service establishes mobile, high-throughput, easy-to-use connectivity the way government users seek it: easily, affordably and operationally available – no matter where they operate. Alternatively, agencies can acquire Global Xpress in the form of a Mil-Ka lease with terminals that are fully compatible with the WGS system for high-value platforms and surge events.
Inmarsat L-band
Through Inmarsat’s unique global, mobile, highly-reliable L-band constellation, Inmarsat Government delivers services that are relevant to government requirements and are designed for every aspect of ISR users on the move’s missions – from voice and data to video distribution for highly mobile platforms. Inmarsat’s resilient L-band networks continue to support the evolving mobile communication requirements of our customers.
LAISR
L-band Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (LAISR) is a purposely-built service utilizing the Wideband Streaming L-band (WiSL) capability via Inmarsat’s redundant, worldwide space and ground networks through micro-antennas as small as 5 inches. LAISR satisfies airborne ISR missions’ demand for high-speed, beyond line-of-sight (BLOS) connectivity.
L-TAC
Establishes global, satellite-based BLOS communications on the move for military Ultra High Frequency (UHF) users. L-TAC enables these users to operate tactical voice and data circuits between tactical radios across a defined operating area without requiring additional, user-provided terrestrial infrastructure.
